Past Futures is dedicated to revealing hidden history, in a bid to promote unity and connection across all groups of people.

Our resources can be used by anyone interested in researching the subjects of local history, ancient history and Black history further. Each exhibition we curate in-house, has an accompanying workshop and resource pack available for schools, colleges and universities to purchase. Choose from online workshops, in-person delivery and individual modules.

CHILDREN'S HISTORY BOOK SERIES

We recently launched a historical book series for children titled 'Have You Heard of?'  This fun and poetic picture book series introduces 3-7 year olds to world history, making the subject of history more accessible to young people.

Climate change Doggerland
DOGGERLAND: A CLIMATE CHANGE STORY
WORKSHOP & LECTURE RESOURCE

This exciting new lecture and workshop series comes following our 2021 exhibition DOGGERLAND: An Immersive Climate Change Experience. Workshop learners will explore three key stages in the history of Britain's climate change story including the rising sea levels off the East Anglian coast, the Storegga tsunami, the Milankovitch cycle plus modern-day comparisons in South Asia. This resource aims to equip learners with a broader understanding of how humans impact the environment and the implications of this, as well as looking at the influence of Earth's cyclical patterns. Delivered as an in-depth four hour workshop, or a one hour lecture.

SOUNDS OF CROYDON 
WORKSHOP & LECTURE RESOURCE

This resource package is perfect for secondary school students learning about local history in London. Focusing on the history of musicians in Croydon from 1900 to the present day, resources cover the lives of musicians including Samuel Coleridge-Taylor and Stormzy. Sounds of Croydon explores the origins and influence of Classical, Dub-Reggae and Grime music, offering an engaging and fresh approach to the subject. Delivered in-person or online, choose between an engaging delivery up to one hour in length, or spend a whole day learning with one of our heritage experts.

Our range of engaging lesson resources includes an introduction to the topic along with a timeline, a debate on local historical celebrities and a fun summary quiz. Perfect for PSHE, citizenship, history and music lessons. Schools have also used the workshop as part of a themed local history day. Most suitable for Key Stage 3 pupils, the workshop covers parts of the national curriculum and can be adapted to suit other age groups. Printed resources and video links also provided.

ROYAL LONDON TOUR

The Royal London guided group tour offers a captivating experience exploring the rich history of the British Royal family. Afterwards, hop on a boat tour as you travel down Regent's Canal and head to London Zoo.

Led by knowledgeable guides, this tour takes you on a journey to iconic landmarks across the Royal London Borough of Greenwich.
